Xi Jinping Sends Message of Condolences to President Mamnoon Hussain of Pakistan over Severe Terrorist Attack in Pakistan

On February 17, 2017, President Xi Jinping sent a message to President Mamnoon Hussain of Pakistan, extending condolences over the severe terrorist attack hitting Sehwan in Sindh province of Pakistan.

Xi Jinping said in the message of condolences that I am shocked to learn about the terrorist attack hitting Sehwan in Sindh province of your country, which caused heavy casualties. The Chinese people deeply sympathize with the suffering of the Pakistani people. On behalf of the Chinese government and people as well as in my own name, I would like to extend profound condolences to the victims, and express sincere sympathy to the injured and the bereaved families.

Xi Jinping noted that China opposes terrorism in all of its forms and strongly condemns the terrorist attack. The Chinese side will continue to firmly support Pakistan in its efforts in combating terrorism, safeguarding national stability and protecting the safety of its people.
