On January 12, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Zimbabwe Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Trade Moyo in Harare.

Wang Yi said, the unilateral sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe by some countries and institutions have no basis for international law and infringed on Zimbabwe's legitimate development rights and interests. China fully supports Zimbabwe and Africa for their just call of lifting sanctions against Zimbabwe as soon as possible.
