Li Keqiang Meets with Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia

On the afternoon of November 13, 2017 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met at the hotel where he stayed in Manila with Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia.

Li Keqiang expressed that China and Cambodia are sincere friends. China will, as always, firmly support Cambodia in constantly pursuing a development path that suits its own national conditions and support its efforts in safeguarding sovereignty and independence, maintaining domestic stability, and speeding up economic development. China stands ready to, together with Cambodia, maintain high-level exchanges, strengthen practical cooperation in various areas, promote people-to-people and cultural exchanges, jointly well host celebration activities marking the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2018, and support each other in well managing the 2nd Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Leaders' Meeting to be held in Cambodia, so as to push for an even better China-Cambodia relationship and make contributions to regional stability and development.

Hun Sen said Cambodia and China share a profound friendship. Next year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Cambodia-China diplomatic relations. Cambodia will host the 2nd Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Leaders' Meeting. Bilateral relations will usher in a new era. Cambodia is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China in various areas such as state governance and infrastructure construction so as to further advance the development of bilateral comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
