Q: On April 16th, a 23-year-old Korean student, Cho Seung-Hui, gunned down 32 people in the students' dormitory and the teaching building at the Virginia Tech University. US police announced this news officially late April 17th. What is China's comment on this?

A: We are shocked a the serious shooting incident and sternly condemned this violent action. We express our deep condolences to the victims and extend our sincere solicitude to the US Government and its people, especially the families of the victims and those injured in the incident. We hope the injured recover soon. Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing has already sent a telegraph of condolences to the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice concerning the incident.
